Formwork PinsPlywood or sheet metal can be fastened to a building's framework using formwork pins. These are placed into the wood or iron through the hole in the formwork. The body of the pin is concealed from view, while the head rests on the formwork's exterior. In order to pour and cast fresh concrete into the appropriate shape, gain initial strength, then harden and mature, formwork serves as a temporary support as well as a mould for the material. The purpose of formwork pins is to safely support reinforced concrete as it gains enough strength. These might be a temporary building or a permanent mould. |
